I’m living in the 21st century; doing something mean to it. Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it. Screams from the haters, got a nice ring to it. I guess every superhero needs his theme music.
(shoutout to Femqua for the genius idea!)
Am I the only one in awe by President Barack Obama’s swag? I wished death to that word in 2009, but I don’t know how else to phrase it. In all seriousness though, let’s be realistic. The man essentially manages an entire country, networks with the world and is forced to deal with the constant contradictions of the people while still being a husband and father! Given my political savvy is definitely lacking, but it doesn’t take a senator to know that there’s more to the title as President; just that alone exhausts me! But through all President Obama has to endure on a daily basis, he maintains his composure and his swag. It’s a daily struggle for me to keep my head on straight as a student! Needless to say, Obama never ceases to amaze me.
Shade to all of you Obama haters! Instead of accepting the fact that he is our president you continue to bash him as if any of your rude and racist comments will make a difference. It’s 2011 and our president is black – get over it. I could rant and rave for days about what a disgrace some of you are to our country, but I won’t. I’ll just pray for your common sense that seems to not be so common these days.
With thoughts, opinions and predictions swarming about the upcoming state of our country, I definitely find comfort in Obama’s “swag” and his ability to maintain serenity. In times like these though, I turn to God with so many questions. I know that you should never question Him, but He knows me well enough to know that I’m quite a curious individual! What happens now? Will the war end? Will gas prices decrease? Will my family finally come home? Will they retaliate? These are all questions that I and no one else have definite answers to. I watch the biased media and I can’t help but question them as well. I’m supposed to count on what they say, but they can’t seem to manage to spell “Osama” correctly or give thanks and appreciation to the correct President? I’ll pass. I’ll stick to worshiping my God, one that is good all the time. Yes, He may send me signs that I miss, but he always succeeds to teaching me lessons one way or another. So until those signs come my way, I’ll accept that I don’t always need to know the answers to my questions. Who needs answers, when you have faith?
If you don’t agree that Kanye’s “Power” is the theme song of Obama’s Swag, you’re nuts.
